Greg Milano

Greg is the Founder & CEO of Fortuna Advisors. He has over 30 years of experience in value-based management as Partner of Stern Stewart & Co., Managing Director and Co-Head of the Strategic Finance Group at Credit Suisse, and as CEO of Fortuna Advisors. He is a recognized industry leader in financial performance measurement and valuation, capital allocation and incentive compensation. He is the author of Curing Corporate Short-Termism: Future Growth vs. Current Earnings, and his work is regularly published in the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, Forbes, CEOWorld, CFO Magazine, Fortune, and The Wall Street Journal, amongst others. He earned an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Frank Hopson

Frank is a Partner with Fortuna Advisors and has over 15 years of experience in corporate finance advisory. He began his career at Credit Suisse within its Financial Institutions investment banking advisory group and the Strategic Finance Group before joining Fortuna as its first employee. Before becoming Partner, Frank led all the firm’s original capital markets research and model building. He has worked extensively with companies across sectors, including energy, industrials and retail to customize measures of performance aligned to value creation. He earned his BA from New York University.

Marwaan Karame

Marwaan is a Partner with Fortuna Advisors with over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and strategy. He began his career at Stern Stewart & Co. specializing in value-based management before joining the investment banking division of DLJ, and later, Credit Suisse. Marwaan works closely with CEOs and CFOs to increase long-term shareholder value by linking strategy and execution to Total Shareholder Returns. He helps large and mid-sized organizations of various industries drive owner-like behavior during all phases of the business cycle, including significant restructurings and turnarounds. He earned his BSc from St. Lawrence University (major in Math and Economics) and an MBA from Ivey Business School at Western University.

Jeff Greene

Jeff is a Senior Advisor to Fortuna with over 40 years of experience helping senior executives shape the shareholder value implications of their strategic decisions. He was previously the Global Vice Chair—Corporate Finance and Global Transactions Leader for Life Sciences at Ernst & Young (EY), and a Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey. He is a recognized thought leader on corporate development, capital allocation, valuation and life sciences transactions, and the lead author and editor of The Stress Test Every Business Needs: A Capital Agenda for Confidently Facing Digital Disruption, Difficult Investors, Recessions and Geopolitical Threats. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and BA in Physics from Dartmouth College.

Jim McTaggart

Jim is Senior Advisor to Fortuna. He was the co-founder and former Chairman and CEO of Marakon Associates, a boutique strategy and organizational consulting firm that pioneered the strategic application of value-based management. During his tenure, Marakon grew to more than 300 people in 6 offices with Fortune 100 clients in North America, Europe and Asia. He is the co-author of The Value Imperative, Managing for Superior Shareholder Returns on integrating advanced financial analysis and strategy development. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor to the Board and CEO practice of Spencer Stuart; a Senior Advisor, board member and investor in BERA Brand Management; and as a member of the board of directors of Lord Abbett, an institutional investor

Riley Whately

Riley leads the firm’s application of value-based principles to investments in intangible assets and stakeholder value. He has over 15 years of experience advising on and investing in intangible-intensive, capital-light businesses. He began his career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley before joining Softbank’s venture capital fund to focus on investments in digital marketplaces. Prior to Fortuna Advisors, Riley advised clients in the US and Europe on corporate, business unit and product innovation strategy for Marakon; and partnered with several private equity funds to evaluate niche asset investments across a range of asset classes, including specialty reinsurance, electric vehicles, blockchain-native businesses and jet engines. He has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.

Chris Moore

Chris has over 10 years of experience in corporate finance, strategy, and program management, with a specific focus on strategic investment evaluation, prioritization and governance. Prior to Fortuna, Chris held positions in corporate finance, strategy, and program management  at United Parcel Service, SunTrust Banks, and Raytheon. Prior to his corporate career Chris served 9 years as an Officer in the United States Navy in aviation and intelligence analysis. Chris has an MBA from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, a Masters in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University, and a BA in Political Science from Emory University.​
